We’ve recently made some improvements to our Google Sheets addon that I wanted to share.

Pivoting a dimension to columns

SyncWith reports normally have one column per field in your report, and then any number of rows for your data.

You can use our new Pivot feature to choose one dimension to turn into columns. If you chose Day as your pivot dimension, you’d then get one column for each day in your date range, and your metrics would become columns.

We’ve heard from some users that they like this layout for reports when tracking key metrics over time especially.

Facebook Ads - attribution window

When running reports against Facebook Ads now SyncWith lets you optionally choose an attribution window, for example 1 day view, 7 day click. This affects way in which conversions or actions are counted.

If you don’t specify an attribution window then Facebook will use the attribution window(s) based on the level and assets you’re reporting against. For example, if you are reporting at the account level, SyncWith will report using the default attribution window you have configured for your account. If you are reporting at the campaign level, SyncWith will use the default attribution window for your campaign.

By specifying a specific attribution window you can ensure all conversions are being counted the same way, and you can use it to match specific attribution window(s) that your business has chosen to use.

Google Analytics

We’ve built a new version of our Google Analytics connector. You likely won’t notice any differences between the new one and the previous one. However, the new one is built on the same platform as our other modern connectors, which enables it to use our new features such as Pivot mentioned above.

Shopify

Throughout 2025 we’ve been making extensive improvements to our support for reporting against Shopify.

SyncWith now warehouses your stores’ data for fast reporting. SyncWith now supports an extensive list of fields enabling you to compose all sorts of reports based on different combinations of fields.

If there is a report you’re looking to run against Shopify that you can’t do, please let us know!

We’ve recently made significant improvements to our Google Ads and Shopify connectors, and we need your feedback to help prioritize further improvements.

Google Ads

We’ve released a new version of our Google Ads connector for Google Sheets. All new reports that you create will use the new connector. Your existing reports are unchanged, and continue to use our previous connector.

Key improvements

1. Support for reports with many more combinations of dimensions and metrics

   1. Our previous connector would often error out, telling you that you couldn’t make a report with common combinations

2. Feedback about incompatible fields

   1. In some cases its not possible/feasible for us to report on certain combinations, the connector will now let you know this as you compose reports

3. Field improvements

   1. We now support more fields

   2. Fields are now named more consistently with Google Ads itself

   3. Field descriptions are now included

4. No row limits

   1. Our previous connector was limited to at most 10,000 rows per report. Our new connector doesn’t have this limit.

5. Filtering and sorting is available (and works!) on more fields

So please give it a shot, and if you hit any issues we’d love to hear about them, so we can address them and improve this for everyone.

Shopify

Currently we have two separate connectors for Shopify: Orders and Products. We’ve now launched a new single awesome connector that should replace both of these.

If you’d like to try it out, please reply to this email and let me know! (Its not yet available for all users.)

Key improvements

1. Ability to produce analytics style reports that group or aggregate data

   1. For example: Show me sales by day, or show me sales and number of orders by customer type

   2. Our existing connectors pulled row level data only, whereas now you can choose dimensions to create all sorts of different reports that previously were not possible

2. Improved fields

   1. Fields are now named consistently with Shopify to make them easier to use

3. Upcoming improvements

   1. We’re looking into some more improvements based on initial feedback:

      1. Ability to report on cost of goods sold, and inventory

      2. Ability to report on meta fields

Other updates

We’ve also made some incremental updates to our LinkedIn Ads connector:

1. Previously we failed to pull the actual names of campaigns in many cases, this is now fixed

2. We’ve added a number of new fields that you can report on, including conversions, cost per conversion, and more.

3. Future improvements: we’re working on the ability to report at different levels (currently only reporting at the campaign level is supported)

I wanted to share some recent improvements we’ve launched.

Teams

We’ve built an initial small teams feature. Your colleagues can now request to join your team, enabling them to collaborate on reports and data sources. Learn more about teams.

Facebook Ads improvements

We’ve released a brand new Facebook Ads connector. If you make a new report then you’ll be using the new connector. It has many improvement including:

1. Many new fields for Ads, Creatives, Adsets, Campaigns, including schedule, budget, creatives, copy, urls, etc.

2. Support for custom conversions across multiple accounts

3. Fields are now named consistently with Facebook Ads manager

We want our Facebook Ads connector to be the best there is, so please let us know if its missing anything or you hit issues.

Other recent improvements

1. Daily report scheduling can now be configured to choose the hour of the day

2. Columns can now be re-ordered within reports

3. Our Google Analytics (GA4) connector has a number of small fixes/improvements: no longer limited to 10,000 rows, sorting by any field, bug fixes

Scheduling improvements

While SyncWith has always enabled you to schedule reports to run Daily, Hourly or every 5 minutes, it didn’t let you control when during the day the report was run. We’ve now added the ability to let you choose on which hour of the day the report runs. I hope this is helpful to some of you! Please give it a try and let us know.

Column reordering

I heard from a few of you that not being able to order the fields (or columns) in your reports was a real pain. This is important just to be able to have the report the way you want it. It can also be important if you’re using sheets formulas like VLOOKUP, where its much easier to pull values from columns on one side or the other.

We’ve now improved almost all of our marketing connectors to support re-ordering of fields, so you can now select your fields (metrics & dimensions) and drag and drop them into the order you’d like.

This means the report in your spreadsheet will have the columns in the exact order you’ve specified.

Connector improvements

We’ve made a few small improvements to some existing connectors:

1. Google Analytics (v4)

   1. Reports are no longer limited to 10,000 rows

   2. Reports can now be sorted by any field (metric or dimensions) that you’ve chosen

   3. Some ads related metrics like Ads Cost are now available

   4. Fixed some cases where reports would fail to run

2. Instagram Post Insights

   1. New fields available: Media URL, Thumbnail Media URL, Plays, Saves, and more.

3. Google Search Console

   1. Ability to select which metrics are included in the report

   2. New search types: Discovery, Google New

   3. A new report option to include fresh data (when available)

Recent improvements

If you’ve been using SyncWith connected to FacebookAds for at least a couple of months, you might have discovered that Facebook requires you to re-authorize SyncWith every 60-90s.

We’ve recently rolled out a new service that emails you to let you know when Facebook re-authorization is required, and will give you a simple link to click to get that done.

Most of the time we know when this is required, so we’ll email you 7 days before, then remind you 3 days before, and then again once its required. Sometimes we don’t find out from Facebook ahead of time, in which case we’ll email you when its required.

We’ve also made a few small changes that we hope will make this process easier for you:

1. When you re-authorize SyncWith with Facebook, we’ll automatically re-enable each of your scheduled reports. In the past you would have had to update them each manually.

2. We’ve made improvements to the messaging within our Google Sheets addon to make it clearer what has happened, and how to fix it, when re-authorization is required.
